Returning/New Student Fall Sign-Up Information Sheet

 

Note:  Next Year’s school Calendar is on the back…

 

Before you come in for school next year you will need to set up an appointment to meet with me on one of the dates listed below for approximately 1 hour.

 

Tuesday, September 2, (9am to 2pm)

Wednesday, September 3, (9am to 2pm)

Thursday, September 4, (9am to 1pm)

Friday, September 5, (9am to 1pm)

 

When you call, be sure to leave your full name and a contact phone number or e-mail address. 

 

We will set up all Student Learning Plans (SLP’s), have you sign entry papers, and give you timesheets to fill out.

 

Please contact Carrie Austin or Kathryn Dobbs in the front office, or call the office at 682-7744.  They will be available 8:30am to 4pm starting Monday, August 25, through Friday, August 29.  I will have the GVHS phone message machine running (682-2537) starting 9/2/08 as well.  I can make appointments starting 9/2, but I may be in meetings.  If you don’t get me, please call Carrie or Kathryn.  My e-mail address is johnsonb@chelanschools.org

 

All students are expected to be in class starting Monday, September 8.  I currently have room for 24 students.  I will give preference to all returning students if you have demonstrated a record of academic progress and acceptable attendance.  My intention is to set up all SLP’s with returning students before school is out June 12.

 

Students who have earned 9+ credits are expected to be in class each school day a minimum of 3 hours per day.  Friday school will be assigned per the discretion of the teacher.  All missed days must be made up on Fridays.  I will try to get to school by at least 7:30am each morning so those of you who have jobs can get to them.  I will not be doing ‘contract learning’.

 

Students with less than 9 credits (but more than 4.5 credits) will be assigned 4 hours per class day (Mon.-Thur.).  Friday school will be assigned per the discretion of the teacher.  Students with less than 4.5 credits will be assigned 5 hours per class day (Mon.-Thur.) and also assigned 3 hours of Friday school.

 

Remember, weekly time sheets are mandatory for all students, if you do not get the 25 hours per week minimum logged, expect to be assigned Friday school and/or additional class hours.  We may assign specific class arrival and departure times as warranted.
