Dear parent/guardian and graduating senior:

 

I know the excitement and anticipation of graduation must be building in your house at this time.  It is typically a time of anxiety, celebration and activity.  I would like to give you some information regarding the upcoming graduation meetings, homework deadlines, rehearsal, and the graduation ceremony itself.

 

The graduation ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, June 13, 2009, at 2:00PM.  The ceremony will take place in the Stehekin Room at Campbell’s Resort.  After the ceremony there will be a reception for all graduates and their guests.  All guests should plan to arrive at least 15 to 20 minutes early for seating.

 

Other important information for graduating seniors and parents/guardians is as follows:

 

5/5, Wednesday, Senior/Parent Meeting 6pm @ GVHS (1 hour meeting)

  1. Pass out blank invitations
  2. Pass out student info packets
  3. Select program covers (through Hermitage Art Co.)
  4. Pass out Mirror info sheet (Decide if you want pictures)
  5. Discuss arrival times, appropriate dress, graduation rules
  6. Reminder for Required Dress rehearsal Thursday, June 7, 12:00 Noon @ GVHS.
  7. Diploma exchange for cap and gown.

 

5/12, Wednesday, Student Grad meeting at GVHS 12:00 Noon (1hour meeting)

  1. Go over student info packets
  2. Go over Chelan Mirror info packets.  Needs senior pictures.
  3. Decorations/Theme
  4. Fill out and address invitations
  5. Discuss & select speakers

 

5/20, Thursday, all graduation info due 3pm

 

6/3, Thursday, 2:30pm, final day for all Senior work to be turned in including Senior Presentations.

 

6/10, Thursday, 12:00 Noon Senior Practice at GVHS. Required if you wish to march. 

NO SHOW… NO GO… NO EXCEPTIONS!!!  “I have to work,” won’t cut it.

 

6/13, Graduation Sunday, 2pm @ Campbell’s Resort, Stehekin Room.  Be there by 1pm.  You may need to help decorate.  After the ceremony, caps & gowns will be exchanged for your diploma.

 

Graduation Attire: Students who are graduating need to be dressed appropriately for this very special event.
