Message from the Superintendent
By Jim Busey
We hope that all students
and families had an excellent summer and a quality transition
to the new school year. The sustained efforts of students, staff, and parents
have once again resulted in impressive results in the spring 2007 WASL Exams.
We are exceptionally proud of this most recent success. Please review these
local and state comparisons that reflect our commitment of “Educational
Excellence for Everyone.”

One other additional highlight regarding the WASL is the
success of last year’s 9th grade students that challenged themselves
by participating in the 10th grade math assessment. Incredibly, we
had 33 out of 34 students meet and/or exceed standards! Congratulations to all
our students and staff in every grade level and program!
As we begin this school year, we strongly encourage our
students, staff, and families to remain active in school academics, activities,
extra-curricular programs and school functions. I can assure you that we want
the absolute best education and programs for every child in our school system.
We have staff and volunteers that diligently work to provide positive, life-long
learning experiences for our students. Parental and community involvement,
expertise, and willingness to help our schools achieve excellence is critical to student success. If our team efforts and
approach to education is focused, positive, determined,
and responsible, success will be the result.
Best wishes to all students in the
2007/2008 school year!
