Highlights of the Board Meeting on February 27, 2007 include the following:

• Heard about school activities that board members had attended and the Legislative Assembly that Jim Busey and Jim Colbert had recently attended.

• Heard a presentation by members of the Chelan Recreational Center Committee on the proposed

Aquatic Center.

• Heard reports on Curriculum reviews, WASL tests, PTL and Accreditation for the district.

• Heard that FCCLA, FBLA and Knowledge Bowl had all qualified students for state competitions.

• Heard the February enrollment and January Financial reports.

• Heard that Classified Employee Recognition Week is March 12 – 16, 2007.

• Heard that the Spring Retreat will be held at Sun Mountain on March 17, 2007.

• Held a discussion on the Bond Issue surveys and discussed options.

• Approved February expenditures in General, ASB and Capital Projects Funds and Feb. payroll.

• Approved the Hire, Resignation and Retirement list of employees.

• Awarded the Lawn Care bid for 2007 to Art’s Edges to Hedges.

• Approved the amendments to Board Policy 6630, Driver Training Responsibility.
