Highlights of the regular board meeting on October 23, 2007 include the following:

· Adopted the G.O.A.T.S. – Guiding Principles for Extra Curricular Activities and the Post-Season Release Time procedures as presented by Scott Raab.

· Viewed the media presentation for the Bond Election campaign.

· Heard there would be a Staff Recognition Breakfast on Nov. 26 for National Ed Week

· Heard reports from Cameron Reister, ASB President, District Administrators Jeff Peck, Barry DePaoli, Larry Bowers and Business Manager, Scott Renick

· Approved payables and payroll for the month of October.

· Approved hires and resignations as presented.

· Approved SIP’s for GVHS and Nite Prepatory Schools

· Accepted revisions to Board Procedure 6605 and Board Policies 6700,

6630, 3414, 3413, 5408, and 5001.

· Changed the 11-13-07 Special Board meeting to begin at 4:30 PM.

· Approved the cancellation of outstanding warrants as presented.

· Approved F1497 (Basic Education Requirement Compliance).
