ü       Discussed capital improvements/upgrades needed for the Performing Arts Center at the high school and requested that the City consider support at some level to improve the facility.  Reviewed the funding history of the PAC, which included the City contributing $550,000 for the initial construction from stadium funds, with the balance paid by the district.

ü       Discussed the role of the Advisory Committee as it relates to the Performing Arts Center, the current policy and plans to better define and clarify, bringing any revisions to the City for their approval.

ü       Asked if the City would consider financial support of improvements to the Community gym, which would help preserve, address safety concerns and improve the facility and agreed to bring their request to have the City discuss at their retreat in August.

ü       Will set the total dollar amount of the M&O, tax levy and bond issue on November 28th.

ü       Discussed the twelve acres designated “planned development” adjacent to the Naumes property under the City’s jurisdiction and uses that fall under that designation. Heard from Dave Weldy, City Council member, who recently viewed the property.
