SUMMER SCHOOL 2008 JOB POSTINGS-CERTIFICATED and CLASSIFIED

Morgen Owings Elementary Pre K Summer School 2008 is scheduled August 11 to August 14 and August 18 to August 21, Monday through Thursdays for a total of 8 days.  Students will attend school from 8:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.   At this time, the district anticipates the following positions, dependent upon actual student enrollment:

 

Up to 3 certificated teachers to teach pre-kindergarten students for a total of 8 days @ 4.5 hours per day (which includes ½ hour prep)  plus 3 hours of additional prep @ $25.00 per hour.

8:30 a.m. – 12 and 12:30 – 1:30 [(Prep from 8:30 a.m. – 9 a.m. – lunch from 12 to 12:30 p.m.]

 

Up to 3 classified paraprofessionals 8 days x 5 hours per day.  Salary range will be $12.91- $14.81 per hour depending on current salary schedule placement.  [8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. ½ hour lunch]

 

Secretary – 6 hours per day for 4 days (August 11 to August 14) from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. [1 hour lunch]  Salary range is $14.52 to $16.99 per hour depending on current salary schedule placement.  Bilingual (English/Spanish required.

 

Bus Drivers:                Estimate the need for 3 route drivers subject to change dependent

upon student enrollment.   Salary range is $17.45 to $21.45 per hour.

 

Food Service:              1 head cook, up to seven hours per day, for a total of eight student days plus one day to attend the required workshop and two days to prepare and finish final paperwork and clean up.  [Breakfast will be served from 8:30- 9:00 a.m. and lunch from 12 to 12:30 p.m.]

                                   

 

 

 

1 credit retrieval instructor to oversee 9-12 credit retrieval – 23 days x 3.5 hours per day (includes ½ hour prep each day) @$25.00 per hour plus 8 hours of initial prep.  Nova Net training and/or experience required. [Specific schedule to be determined by instructor]
