Lake Chelan School District has an opening, beginning with the 08/09 school year, for a middle school (7th grade) teacher to teach language arts, social studies and reading.

 

Qualifications to include:

Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree with appropriate endorsement(s)

Able to meet No Child Left Behind, “highly qualified” standards in language arts, social studies and reading as defined by the new federal guidelines

Understanding of Washington’s Essential Academic Learning requirements

Understanding of instructional strategies and assessment practices for grade level and area of instruction

Familiar with instructional best practices and school reform

Working knowledge of Washington’s GLE’s

Effective organizational and time management skills

Excellent communication skills to work with students, parents, staff and administration

Bilingual (English/Spanish) and ESL endorsement preferred
