Early
Life
Bill Clark was born and raised in beautiful Chelan, WA.
While attending CHS, Bill was a model student-athlete.
Along with being the Honor Society President and carrying
a 3.47 GPA, he was active in three sports. He also worked
on his family farm.
In football, Bill was a three-year letterman, co-captain,
and “second team all-league” selection his
senior year. Bill was also a two year letterman in basketball
and track, where he received the “most inspirational”
award his senior year.
Upon graduating from CHS in 1976, Bill enrolled at Washington
State University. As a WSU cougar, Bill took many classes
in the areas of engineering, math, and surveying. He graduated
from Washington State University with a B.S. in Architectural
Studies in 1981. That same year, he married Angell Sterner
on June 27. |
Adulthood
Immediately after graduating from WSU, Bill began working
in the field of ranch management & operation. He was
the director and secretary of the family owned corporation,
Triangle C Farms until 1986. For the next three years,
Bill was vocationally involved in construction. During
this period, Bill also did design and drafting work for
several local people, as well as Hibbard & Rowe, an
architect firm in Manson. Bill used these skills to design
and build his own home, which he completed in 1996.
In 1987, Bill got into the orchard business. He first
leased a small apple orchard just outside of town. Since
1989, he has farmed 6 acres of organic cherries, 17 acres
of organic apples, and 21 acres of conventional apples.
Bill has been very active and influential in the Lake
Chelan School District. He served on the District Facility
Committee from 1987-89, the School Board from 1987-2000
(chairman in 1990 and 1991), and the District Levy Committee
in 2000 and 2002. Currently, Bill is still happily married
to Angell, and has two children that attend Chelan schools;
Shyla Rose (17), and Natalie Mae (13). In his free time,
Bill enjoys woodworking, automotive mechanical and body
work, freehand drawing, hunting, fishing, and gardening.
