FCCLA Regional STAR Events Competition will be today, all day, in Manson.
The National Honor Society
will have an important meeting this Friday at lunch in Mr. Bov’s
room!
Mrs. Keathley will be giving the Food Handler’s Test during
first period on Tuesday, March 11. Please
see her by Friday to sign up for the test. The cost is $10.00.
There will be a Migrant and
Bilingual Parent Meeting on Friday March 7, at 6:00 pm at Chelan High School Library. All Hispanic
parents are encouraged to attend.
The American Red Cross Blood Drive will be held on Tuesday, March 18, in the CHS/MS
Commons. You can save up to 3 lives if
you donate blood. If you donate you can
receive community service credit. If you
are interested, please call 1-800-Give-Life.
Remember that you must be at least 16 with parents’ permission. Talk to TJ Sandum
or Liz Moran if you have any questions.
You can pick up permission slips from Mrs. Johnson or Mrs. Taylor.
COMMUNITY SERVICE:
Help is needed
for the youth wrestling tournament Saturday, March 8th. If you are
interested in earning community service hours, please see Mr. Gleasman.
Here’s another opportunity
for community service: gatekeeping at Mission Ridge Ski Races, March 14-16! You
get to do some skiing, watch a race, get lunch, and a free ticket for another
day. There’s also pizza at the end of the day. Volunteers should be able to ski
or ride well enough to get themselves into position on the Skookum

Lake Chelan School District
has an opening for a Director of Student Learning, Assessment, Student Records,
and Internet-based Learning. The job goal is to lead and coordinate student
learning improvements through data, records, and assessment management.
Lake
Chelan School District has an opening for a special education Para
educator at the secondary level for the remainder of the 07/08 school year (Monday
through Thursday, 2.33 hours per day and Friday, 6 hours per day).
Lake Chelan High
School has
an opening for a long term certified substitute beginning about March 24, 2008 through May 30, 2008 to teach world history, Latino history and CWP. Requirements include a valid Washington State teaching certificate with appropriate endorsements.
