STAFF & STUDENTS:

Thank you to all the students that went over to MOE last night and helped with the Ready for Kindergarten parent meeting.  You all did a great job!  Also thank you to Mrs. Fox, Mrs. Keathley and Ms. Romero for sending over a great bunch of students to work with. 

 

National FCCLA Week is February 11-15th.  FCCLA is the only student leadership organization with a focus on the family.   The Chelan Chapter will celebrate with events all week.

 

FCCLA Honors Staff Project will happen after school today in Mrs. K’s room.  All members are welcome to help.

 

Heads Up to Seniors:  There will be a very important Grad Night meeting tonight, 7:00pm, in the HS Library to determine whether or not we will actually have a Grad Night party.  If you don’t know what Grad Night is contact Zane Sandum, Katlyn Straub or Mrs. Johnson.  Please, tell your parents we need them at the meeting tonight to make this happen!!

 

Thursday, during advisory, TATU meets in room 203.

 

Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day!!  If you haven’t bought a rose for that special friend - your teachers, your sweetheart or your best friend time is running out..  Long stemmed roses, with a card, will be delivered tomorrow on Valentine’s Day.  They are on sale during lunch.

 

Students who will be attending the Nursing Wenatchee Valley College trip next Wednesday, need to get your permission forms to Mrs. Taylor by 3:30 on Friday.”

 

 

COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES:

For Seniors:  Students are needed to assist with AAU tournaments. This is helping with the tournament clean-up duties on Sunday afternoons.  The money raised goes toward grad night activities.

Lake Chelan School District has an opening for a National Board Facilitator/Mentor to provide assistance to certified staff in Lake Chelan School District pursuing National Board Certification. 

 

Chelan High School has an opening for a head high school girls’ soccer coach beginning with the 2008/2009 school year. 

 

Lake Chelan School District #129 has an opening for adult ed programs funded by the Washington Apple Commission for the 2007/2008 school year only:

Classified bilingual (English/Spanish) Para educator to provide adult ed computer classes for three hours per night, 1 day per week for 20 weeks.

 

Lake Chelan School District #129 has an opening beginning with the 2008/2009 school year for a full time Alternative High School Teacher at Glacier Valley High School.

 

Lake Chelan School District #129 has an opening beginning with the 2008/2009 school year for a half-time certified music teacher with skills in both choral and instrumental music.
