Sharing A Bathroom!

“Me and my sister are total opposites. I’m organized and she is scattered. We are always fighting over the mirror, the brush, the sink and the shower, it drives me crazy!” Using her makeup, shampoo and deodorant are some things that make Alexa tick. Sharing a bathoroom with her sister is all but fun sometimes. The mood is often switched by singing together as they are getting ready. Alexa also believes that by sharing a bathroom she has become closer to her sister and thinks that wthout having to share a bathroom with her sister her mornings would not be as entertaining and fun. So what if she had her own bathroom? How would she decorate it? “My bathroom would probably be hot pink and lime green or red yellow and orange.” The decorations would accent her personality. “Having my own bathroom would be sweet.” Given the opportunity, Haylee would decorate her own bathroom in green and blue with rubber duckies all over it. A few pet peeves of Haylee’s that her sister Alexa triggers are hogging the mirror in the morning and singing while she is brushing her hair. She knows that her sister sometimes annoys her but she also knows that there are times when she gets on her sister’s nerves too. Some mornings are actually fun. In fact, she recalls a memory.“One morning I told my sister that she only had five minutes left till we had to go. After majorly freaking out we left with Alexa’s mascara and blush smeared all over her face.” In the end, the good of sharing a bathroom tends to outweigh the bad.

Are You Ready...?

When the word ‘generation’ comes to mind, most people will tend to think back to previous generations, ones that are not as elite as our own. Advancement, new ideas and acceleration are many things that our generation is soaked in. Through many different types of technology, we are quickly advancing past the generations before us, so much that experts are worried. Generation Y is a generation that is truly gaining the recognition it deserves. Generation Y is extremely more advanced than the previous generations. Teenagers today are becoming more and more intertwined in technology. Through sites like MySpace and Facebook they have learned to design their own web pages, something that many Generation Xers and Baby Boomers would never even look at trying. Because of this, today’s industries are filled with Generation Xers and Baby Boomers working under an executive 20 years their junior. For such a cutting-edge generation, most who are given these technological opportunities are taking them for granted. Some are not applying themselves, not caring about what awaits them in the future, having little to no respect for their elders. Some are still living at home with their parents. They are equipped with the basics needed to be successful but Generation Y is still depending on other people to fix their problems and do their work. With all these skills of multi-tasking, thinking creatively and learning effectively, most would think that this generation would be more than ready to take over business and poltics. So who is this socially and technologically innovative Generation Y? Dear reader, it is you. One day you are probably going to become extensively successful or depressingly unsuccessful. Unfortunately, there will be no average in the reigning days of Generation Y. You, along with your peers, will one day be our leaders, our politicians, our CEO’s. So reader my question to you is, Are you ready...?
