Be a Member of the
Team. Making a
commitment to the band or choir is a big deal and should not be taken
lightly. We are only as good as our
weakest link and it takes a commitment from everyone to strive for
excellence. Set goals for yourself as an
individual performer, section member, and band or choir member. Don’t let us or yourself down. Help us make it happen.
Be on time. 3 tardies will
result in an office referral.
Come prepared for class with
your music, instrument, and pencil.

Classroom Code/Norms:
Simply stated, you need to positively contribute to
the classroom environment. If you find
yourself with a problem, you may solve it by any means that does not cause a
problem for you or anyone around you. For
safety issues, gum, mints, and food will not be allowed in the music room. Except for special occasions, no food or
beverage other than water will be allowed in the music room. Unkind
or disrespectful words and actions are not acceptable and will not be tolerated.
Classroom Management:
In the event of a blatant and/or rebellious disregard for the Classroom Code/Norms, (ex. fighting,
refusal to comply, etc.) Mr. DePaoli,
Mr. Raab, and Mr. Gleasman
will intervene.
Performance Expectation:
All performances are required. After
all of our ensemble’s hard work, it is not fair to you or the other members of
the ensemble if someone is absent from a performance experience. Assignments such as performances are very
difficult to make up, since the overall experience can not be easily reproduced. Please respect your hard work and the hard
work of others and be proud of our musical presentation by performing at all
required events.
