The search has begun for the 2006 Chelan County Fair Ambassadors. Applications are currently being distributed to all Chelan County High Schools and the County Extension Office. Applications are also available at the Chelan County Fair Office, 5700 Wescott Drive, Cashmere. The Chelan County Fair Ambassadors will be representing the Fair at numerous events throughout the year.

Applicants must be current high school Juniors, live within the boundaries of a Chelan County School District, and be schooled in Chelan County. Candidates must be single, have never been married, nor planning to marry before October 1, 2008.

One male and one female will be selected to serve as Ambassadors for the Chelan County Fair to be held September 4-7, 2008. Each Ambassador will be provided with a clothing allowance, cash for travel expenses, and will be awarded a scholarship in the amount of $1000 to help defray the cost of further education. This will be made in two payments, see Official Rules and Obligations.

The Chelan County Fair Ambassadors will be announced by April 10, 2008. The deadline for applications to be submitted is February 28, 2008. Applications are available at Chelan County High Schools, the County Extension Office, or by contacting the Fair Office at 782-3232.
