News Release

Get out your red pen and mark your calendar for Chelan FFA Donkey Basketball on Thursday February, 21^st at 7:00 PM in the Community Gym.

All proceeds from the game will go to Tyler Dublin to help with costs related to injuries suffered in an automobile accident in December.

Tyler Dublin, a 2007 Graduate of Chelan High School, was an active member of the Chelan FFA. During his four years in the Chelan Chapter he competed in Agriculture Mechanics CDEs, Marketing Plan CDE, Agriculture Issues CDE, Forestry CDE, First Year CDE, and Livestock Judging. He also participated in community service projects including Project PALS, Toys for Tots, Adopt A Highway, as well as, working on projects with local service clubs including the Lion’s Club, Rotary, and on the Beebe Springs Project. He suffered spinal injuries in a rollover accident in December and was flown to Harborview in Seattle and spent time their in intensive care before returning to Chelan. He is currently in physical therapy and has to make regular trips back to Seattle for appointments. Prior to his accident he was employed as a welder/fabricator at Kelley Ironworks where he put to use the skills that he learned in the Agriculture Mechanics courses at CHS and in Ag Mech CDEs.

Pre-sale tickets are $3.00 for students grades K-6, $4.00 for Students grades 7-12, and $5.00 for Adults. Tickets are $1.00 higher at the door. Breanne Hanson, Chelan FFA Sentinel, is in charge of this activity. The game will feature FFA members, CHS Cheerleaders, Miss Lake Chelan Royalty, FBLA officers, and other CHS students. If you have never been to a Donkey Basketball game, you really need to attend an see the spectacle for yourself and enjoy this unique family entertainment opportunity and help support a good cause. The donkeys are provided by Donkey Sports, Inc. of Entiat.
