For Immediate ReleaseSammi  Jo Cool was awarded the Intermediate Girls Cowriding Champion Buckle by the Caribou Trail Junior Rodeo Association (CTJRA) at their annual awards banquet held at the Riverside Grange on Saturday March 1st.  This buckle capped off a successful rodeo season where she won buckles at the Okanogan Jr. Rodeo, Moses Lake Jr. Rodeo, Othello Jr. Rodeo, Colville Jr. Rodeo and the Washington State Junior Rodeo Finals for cowriding.   She is a fourth generation rodeo competitor and also competes in barrel racing, goat tying, pole bending and breakaway calf roping.  The CTJRA awarded buckles to association members in each event and age category based on points earned at CTJRA sanctioned rodeos throughout the season.  They also awarded All Around Saddles to age bracket winners. The CTJRA has over 100 members from all over Eastern Washington and is one of nine junior rodeo associations in the state.

If you are interested in joining the CTJRA or want more information about Junior Rodeo, contact CTJRA President Roger Hammer in Winthrop or go to CTJRA.org on the web.
