The Chelan High School Interact club is actively raising donations in the efforts to support Shelterbox. Shelterbox is an international disaster relief charity that delivers emergency shelter, warmth, and dignity to the people affected by disaster worldwide. Scott Raab, CHS Assistant Principal/ Athletic Director and Chelan Rotary member has agreed to live in Shelterbox tent in front of the high school for one minute per dollar donated. Our goal is to raise $2,600 which raabwould keep him in a tent for 43 hours in January!!

  • The Shelterbox is currently helping those affected by the powerful earthquakes in Turkey.
  • Shelterbox delivers the essentials a family needs to survive in the aftermath of a disaster. The box contains a tent, water filter, cooking utensils and clothing.
  • More than 28,000 Shelterboxes have been sent to Haiti to assist with the devastating earthquake that occured on January 12, 2010. Many people continue to live Shelterbox tents now, almost one year after the disaster.
