THREE OF OUR FOUR BOYS QUALIFIED FOR STATE, AND KELLI. STATE IS NEXT WEEK MON-WED IN BELLINGHAM. KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED FOR REPEAT CHAMPIONS IN BOYS AND GIRLS (or at least from Chelan!)

Girls / Boys Regionals

May 5-The Chelan Boys Golf Team successfully defended their District Golf Team title yesterday with a score of 322 at Leavenworth (nearest team 349). Danny Campbell took medalist honors for the boys with a 2-over-par 73, followed closely on his tails by Dane deQuilettes with a 74. Both earned 1st Team All-League awards for their performance. Cam Reister followed up in 6th place and 2nd Team All-League with an 84. Jonathon Peck was 14th with a 91, Johnny Griffith was in 20th with a 97, and Timmy Stockdale came in with a 101. The top 4 Chelan boys will continue on to Regional competition next week Tuesday here on our home course.

For the girls, Kelli Bowers came in first place for medalist with a 78. Daneijha Weigel (115) and Michelle Munneke (116) just missed the cut for Regionals.

Player of the Year awards went to Dane and Kelli.

April 29-Dane deQuilettes was medalist with a 75, followed by Dan Campbell with an 81, Cam Reister with an 82, and Johnny Griffith with another season best of 85. The team score 323 was dominating over Cascade (356), Ellensburg (379), and Quincy (512).

April 24-Dane was hot again, shooting a 2 under 69 (on the par 71 course), followed by Dan Campbell with a 78, Cam with an 81, and Tim Stockdale with an 87. Chelan again scored a team-best 315 to beat both Cascade (364) and Okanogan (369). Kelli shot an 80 to lead the girls. Season bests (?) for Gerrick Lutz, Cory Dowell, Daneijha Weigel, Sara Blixt, Johnny Griffith, and Tim Stockdale.

April 14-The boys entertained (???) Omak and several other golfers from Pateros, Brewster, and Bridgeport yesterday. Wade Gebbers was the boys medalist with a 77, followed closely by Dane dQ (79), Cam R. (80) and Danny C. (81). Chelan beat Omak 330-389. No girls team scores (Kelli shot 81).

April 10-The boys (minus Cam, Dane, and Danny) went to Ephrata yesterday; Johnny Griffith was the top finisher for our boys with a 94 for 18 holes. Team score was Ephrata 339, Chelan 400. (results are posted outside my room on the bulletin board)

April 8-Both boys and girls teams beat Lake Roosevelt, (low score wins) boys 340 to 466 (OUCH!) and girls 429 to 518 (and another OUCH). Dane d.Q. and Dan Campbell were co-medalists for the boys with 79’s and Kelli Bowers was medalist for the girls with a 76.

March 25-Boys Medalist against Ephrata was Dane DeQuilettes with a 37, followed closely by Danny Campbell with a 38. Boys team beat Ephrata by 3 strokes 170 to 173 (low score wins). Kelli Bowers was the girls medalist at Ephrata against Ephrata and Ellensburg by two strokes.
