Laboratory assignments and Project Work
In
the course of the semester block, Agriscience and
Biological students will perform
certain laboratory activities or work on projects that involve dissection,
slaughter or management of domestic farm and/or game animals. These activities are included as an integral
part of the agriscience experience and as an
understanding of the management of agricultural operations. It is highly recommended that students
perform these activities. However, they
will be required to complete alternative assignments. Students will also be involved in the
training of young horses. Students will be required to handle horses, clean
pens, and perform other management activities at the Chelan Rustler’s Saddle
Club.
FFA Membership
Students will receive leadership instruction and training for various career development events (CDEs). These CDEs are sanctioned events sponsored by the National FFA Organization, State FFA Association, and the local chapter. Students are encouraged to join the Chelan FFA and participate in leadership, community service, and career related activities.
