COURSE OBJECTIVES:

Advanced Microcomputer Applications will:

1.      Demonstrate an understanding of Office XP

2.      Demonstrate an understanding of Microsoft Word through creating and editing documents, creating a research paper, and adding clip art.

3.      Demonstrate an understanding of Microsoft Excel through creating a worksheet and embedding charts; creating formulas, formatting and creating charts, and using basic functions.

4.      Demonstrate an understanding of Microsoft Access through creating a database and querying a database.

5.      Demonstrate an understanding of Microsoft PowerPoint through creating slide presentations.

PROFESSIONALISM:

Professionalism is an important part of any career – especially in the business world!  Each student must learn how to be professional in many different roles.  Students who come to class prepared, on-time, and ready to learn are considered “Professional.”  Students will be rewarded and disciplined according to their professional behavior in this course.  Points will be added or subtracted from their notebook total for the following:

  • Extra Credit (+)
  • Being tardy (-)
  • Any reason to make an “Out of Class” trips (-)

LATE ASSIGNMENTS

  • LATE WORK WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED for any reason except excused absences.

 

  • It is your responsibility to make up missed work and tests.  Check your time tracker for assignments and make arrangements with Mr. Kronbauer for lab use if needed.

 

  • You will have (2) days after any absent period to make up work after an excused absence.  Work handed in past that deadline will be given NO credit.  (If extra time is needed due to special circumstances, make prior arrangements with Mr. Kronbauer) 

 

  • Please note in order to receive full credit when handing in late work, you must write, “Late” and the date(s) of our excused absence.
