AP Statistics - Probability Games for 6th graders

For this December project, we teamed up a local elementary class to design and produce games for the students. The theme was probability, and the sky was the limit as far as how we incorporated it. There were far more exceptional games than just these, but these pictures show some of the fun we had as well as the creativity that went into building the games for our future AP Stats students.

The ultimate 'holiday' battle of Penguins vs. Snowmen to free Rudolph so Santa can deliver his toys.>

The playing board doesn't do it justice, but when you landed on a state, you had to accomplish a certain roll with the dice. Don't do it and you stay in Nebraska forever (no jokes, please).

Possibly the most popular game among the 6th graders, the Black Skatepark assigned point values to 'tricks' that you could accomplish by rolling certain dice combinations. Pick your trick, and roll the dice to win!

Everyone loves racing Hot Wheels around a track trying to beat the red light! But watch out - roll the wrong number and you'll be moved to the outer lane, which is MUCH longer!
