Beginning Pottery Requirements

 

·        If any of the requirements are not completed you will not receive credit (unless teacher pre-approved substitutions)

·        If you miss 10 consecutive days, you may receive partial credit. 

·        If you miss any more than 10 for any reason, you may make up the time after school for up to no more than 15 absences (before lab closes) 

·        No credit will be given to a student who misses more than 15 days

·        No credit if your lab fee is not paid.  Lab fee is $25.00

Ø     You must successfully complete the minimum requirements in order to receive credit for this class.  These are to be completed as separate pots unless an * is by them.  You will tape the requirement list to your door to keep track of what work you have completed.

Ø     Any pots that you have finished but don’t need for a category may be turned in for extra credit.

Ø     Each pot is to be turned in with a grade sheet.  The grade sheet must be filled out.  Use complete sentences, grammar and spelling when writing the response part.

40% of grade: Effort/cleanup/attendance/class preparation

ATTENDANCE-each day counts as 1 point for a total possible of 90 points

EFFORT is how you use your class period and if you come to class prepared to work.  Up to 10 points daily will be assigned for each day.

CLEANUP is based on how you help and clean, not only your own area and tools, but the ENTIRE classroom as well.
