Congratulations To These Teachers Getting Professionally Certified!!

Pre-K Program
In August Morgen Owings Elementary will be hosting its annual Kinder Kamp. This program is designed for incoming Kindergarten students to get a jump start on the school year. Parents will be notified in June if their child qualifies. The students will come in for two weeks prior to school starting to become familiar with the curriculum and school routines. This is a very popular program that has had great success. We look forward to our incoming class of kindergarten students!

P.T.A. Science Center Vans
Again this year our local P.T.A. has sponsored the Pacific Science Center Vans to visit Morgen Owings. The vans bring a variety of lessons to the classrooms as well as an interactive exhibit area. The P.T.A. has done a remarkable job sponsoring many events this year at Morgen Owings. Our students continue to benefit from the hard work of our local P.T.A. board. The Science center always provides a quality program for all of our students and staff.

Fifth Grade to San Juans
The fifth grade students and staff made there annual trek to the San Juan Islands. The trip has been an annual trip for the fifth grade students. The teachers do an excellent job preparing the students and planning the trip. The student fund raise in the fall and many parents travel with the students for three days. It is a very exciting trip which completes the year for the fifth graders before they leave to the Middle School. Special recognition needs to go to Mrs. Walters, Mitchell, Mack and Mr. Haerling who pull this off every year.

Back To School Splash
P.T.A. has set the date for the Back to School Splash. The annual event will be held on AUGUST 26th. MOE parents and students will be allowed to get into Slide waters at a reduced rate and 100% of the proceeds will go to P.T.A. Please mark this date on your calendar. More information will follow.

Congratulations Mr. Peck!!

Our very own Jeff Peck, Morgen Owings Elementary Principal, has been chosen as one of three to receive the “Most Effective Administrator Award”. This award is sponsored by the Washington State Association of School Administrators (WASA). Mr. Peck was competing with superintendents, central office administrators, and principals in the state of Washington.
