Why Homework?

Homework is assigned for many reasons; such as, practice with new material, review, investigation, studying, and research.  We do not assign homework just to waste your time, so it should not be ignored.  Homework helps make you a better student, and therefore a better person.

Do you really need to do it?

YES!!  When homework is ignored not only do you hurt your growth as a student, but you hurt your grade as well.  To help assure you do homework in my class, missed homework will negatively impact your grade.

What if you miss one?

Not all is lost.  I do accept homework that is late.  If you do not do your homework one night, you can turn it in late for credit.  You will loose a few points for the tardiness; however, a few points off is better than a zero.

What if you are absent?

It is Your responsibility to find out what homework you missed if you were absent.  You can try one of the following ways:

  1. Contact a classmate and get the assignment form him/her.
  2. Go on to the homework web site.  (Click Here)
  3. Ask me.

Do you have to try?

YES!!  If you are not going to give your best effort, then you are better off not trying at all.  That is true on class work, lab work, tests, homework, and life in general.  If you really want to be a better student and person, it will take effort on your part.

Can you ask your parents for help?

YES!!  Asking your parents for help can be a great way of showing your parents what you are doing in class.  We will be doing a lot of fun activities and labs in class, let your parents see what you are doing.  You should be proud of your hard work and show it off.
