STAFF & STUDENTS:

 8th grade students, if you are interested in being a class speaker at this year’s Moving Up Ceremony, you need to have your proposed speech to Mr. Phelps by Friday, May 9.  If your speech is approved you will be eligible to be voted on by your class to be one of the Moving Up speakers.

 

The JV Fastpitch Softball Team had a great year!!!  The girls worked very hard and they were UNDEFEATED in their LEAGUE>>>!!!  Please congratulate them on an awesome season!!!  Goats rock!!!  Coach Blair and Coach Flick.

 

8th grade girls’ basketball players wanting to play next year, there will be a meeting today in the PAC during advisory, with Coach Robinson and Coach Greenfield.

 

All 8th grade boys who are interested in playing high school basketball, meet tomorrow during advisory in the gym to learn about the high school and summer basketball programs.

JOB POSTINGS:

Lake Chelan School district has an opening for a Transportation Supervisor, 260 days per year/salaried position with compensation package (DOQ).

 

Lake Chelan School district has an opening for a para educator at Holden Village for up to 8 hours per day (depending upon student enrollment) beginning with the 2008/2009 school year.

 

Lake Chelan School District has an opening for a para educator to work a total of 27.5 hours per week at Glacier Valley High School beginning with the 2008/2009 school year, (Monday-Friday).

 

Beginning with the 2008/09 school year, Morgen Owings Elementary will have openings for a 2nd grade teacher and a 4th grade teacher.

 

Morgen Owings Elementary Pre K Summer School 2008 is scheduled August 11 to August 14 and August 18 to August 21, Monday through Thursdays for a total of 8 days.  Students will attend school from 8:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.   At this time, the district anticipates the following positions, dependent upon actual student enrollment:

Up to 3 certificated teachers, up to 3 classified paraprofessionals, Secretary, Bus Drivers, Food Service, 1 head cook, 1 credit retrieval instructor.  A number of positions filled will be dependent upon actual student enrollment in our summer program and are subject to change.

 

Beginning with the 2008/2009 school year, Morgen Owings Elementary may have openings for a kindergarten and a 2nd grade teacher.

 

Lake Chelan School District #129 has an opening beginning with the 2008/2009 school year for a half-time certified music teacher with skills in both choral and instrumental music.

 

Lake Chelan School District #129 has an opening for a half-time ESA certified counselor beginning with the 2008/2009 school year.
