8th Grade Leadership

Mrs. Reister-  Instructor Room 204

Students in the Leadership classes will focus on; School Leadership, Character Education, School Activities, and Community Involvement.  School Leadership will change each quarter as 3 leaders will be elected from within the leadership class.  Representatives will be chosen from other classes for help with school activities.  This will ensure a large number of involved students.  Character Education will look at the positive qualities that make up each individual and ways to make each student more responsible, more successful, and to find ways to face day to day challenges. A nationally known curriculum has been implemented for this section.

School activities will be produced each quarter by these students with the emphasis on more involvement by all. These activities may include: recognition assemblies, activity nights, lunch time activities, and student activity days.  Community projects will help to unite the students and the highly supportive community that we live in. These may include: area clean up, earth day events, elementary tutoring, recycle, or other events that include the community.

It is the students’ responsibility to come to class prepared to learn and to take the responsibility to make up any missed work due to absence.
