Daily Lesson Format:

             

v     25 minutes daily of Accelerated Reader  (Silent reading, event and story maps)

v     25 minutes daily of Social Studies instruction.

v     Minutes may vary due to instruction and/or projects.

 

Grading Policy

 

v     50% Accelerated Reader, Daily Reading Log, and Story Maps.

v     50% Social Studies assignments and quizzes.

v     90%- A, 80%- B, 70%- C, 60%- D

v     If your child falls behind in Accelerated Reader you will receive a letter informing you of the problem.

 

Classroom Expectations: 

 

v     Be on time to class.

v     Be prepared for the class.

v     Put forth your best effort in all of the activities within the class.

v     Treat everyone with respect and courtesy.

 

Discipline Procedures for excessive tardiness and/or inappropriate behavior:

 

v     Visit with Teacher – phone call home

v     Lunch Detention

v     Office Referral
