Greetings from Holden Village!
Whether you are a student, parent or an interested villager, we would like to welcome you to the Holden School Website.
Holden School is located in Holden Village, a retreat center affiliated with the Lutheran Church. The school is part of the Lake Chelan School District and is considered a “remote and necessary” school. In order to reach the school, you travel about 45 miles up Lake Chelan and 11 miles up the road into the wilderness. The retreat center has a number of full-year staff. Our students are the children of those staff people. Holden Village lies at an elevation of 3200 feet. During the winter months, ten to twelve feet of snow may fall in the valley.
