WEATHER ALERT – Letter to Families 01.05.2022
01.05.2022
Dear Parents/Guardians,
As most of you are well aware, there is a WINTER STORM WARNING FROM 4 PM TODAY THROUGH 10 AM TOMORROW for our region. The forecast is calling for between 5 -12 inches of snow throughout this time span. The purpose of this communication is to inform you of potential scenarios for school tomorrow morning.
After consulting with several districts in the region and our transportation department, here is what you need to know in planning for this storm:
- Based on snow accumulation and road conditions we may revert to a late start schedule depending on the severity of the storm. However, if warranted, we could close school for the day.
- The final decision will be made early tomorrow morning after consultation with the county, our transportation department and other neighboring districts.
- You will receive a text /email and phone alert via the district’s auto-dialer system sometime between 6:00 and 7:00 am informing you of tomorrow’s start time.
-
- If we are on late start schedule, pre-school will be canceled
- A full school closure means no after school activities
Thanks everyone,
Barry
