Lake Chelan School District Celebrates Retirees and Employees of the Year

At Monday morning’s all staff breakfast, the Lake Chelan School District (LCSD) celebrated eight distinguished retirees for their service to students and recognized three Employees of the Year based on nominations from fellow staff members. Retirees honored included MOE music teacher Bob Soost (25 years with LCSD), custodian Frants Hom-Nielsen (8 years with LCSD), CHS science teacher Mark Anderson (45 years with LCSD), Kirk Einspahr (24 years with LCSD), Transportation Director Tammy Williams (11 years with LCSD), bus driver and mail courier Bill Williams (10 years with LCSD), bus driver Karen Carell (10 years with LCSD), CMS/CHS nurse Donna Sibbers (5 years with LCSD). All were lauded by their supervising administrators for their long lasting positive impact on our students and schools in ways that will be impossible to replace.

The Lake Chelan School District Employees of the Year are: CMS teacher Jamie Mack, MOE daytime custodian Margarito Vieyra, and substitute teacher Tori Sturm. Each was nominated by their peers for their impact on student learning, their leadership, their impact on families and our community, and their consistent willingness to go above and beyond in their work with students and families. Overall, 53 individuals were nominated for awards by their peers and administrators.
