REGULAR BOARD MEETING

MINUTES

DATE: July 10, 2023

LOCATION: Hybrid Meeting (in-person at District Learning Center and online)

PRESENT: Brad Wilson, Kim Thorpe, Stephanie Fuller, Jeff Fehr, Barb Polley, Jenann Ross, Lisa Gleasman, and Georgia Mashayekh.  Erik Nelson was absent.

Kim called the meeting to order at 6:00pm.

There were no public comments.

CONSENT AGENDA          

• Approval of Agenda
• Approval of Minutes – June 28, 2023
• Payables
• Personnel

Kim asked that a correction be made to the list of assistant MS football coaches.

Stephanie moved and Barb seconded a motion to approve the consent agenda with the requested personnel correction; motion carried.

SUPERINTENDENT’S REPORT        

• Year End Report and Discussion

Brad shared a presentation of a year-end report. He shared student data, staff data, facility improvements, and community communication.

BOARD POLICIES / ACTION ITEMS

• BP 5161 Civility in the Workplace (3rd read)

Jeff moved and Barb seconded a motion to approve BP 5161 as presented; motion carried.

• Resolution 2023-03 – Authorized Credit Card Balance
• Resolution 2023-04 – Advanced Travel Checking Account

Brad explained the need for resolutions 2023-03 and 2023-04.

Stephanie moved and Jeff seconded a motion to approve both resolutions as presented; motion carried.

EXECUTIVE SESSION

• To discuss the qualifications of an applicant for public employment and/or review the performance of a public employee with no action to be taken. RCW42.30.110

Kim moved the Board to executive session at 6:53 pm for approximately 10 minutes to discuss the qualifications of an applicant for public employment and/or review the performance of a public employee with no action to be taken.

ADJOURNMENT

Kim Thorpe reconvened the board to regular session and adjourned the meeting at 7:03 pm.
