Press Release- CHS 03.08.2022

CHELAN, WA—- March 8th, 2022 —- OSPI announced last week that our Agriculture Program at Chelan High School has been awarded a $18,500 grant to support career exploration and training on up-to-date equipment as students prepare for careers after high school. We were awarded this grant to purchase new equipment and training for students as seen below:

  • Fix current CNC Plasma Cutter and send students and Ag teacher for training on operating the machine and software
  • New industrial drill press and band saw
  • New MIG welders
  • New torch cart

Again, a big thank you to OSPI for helping our district continue to enhance our career pathways and provide relevant and rigorous education for our students at Lake Chelan SD. We are excited to begin planning for next year involving the equipment we will receive from the grant!
